so bayern chairman threatenin to take FIFPRO to court over the advice, they are giving to ribery
| Quote: |
Bayern Munich are not only at loggerheads with Real Madrid over the transfer of Franck Ribery, but it appears that they are now also entering a feud with FIFPro.
The worldwide organisation for professional football players came out and showed its support for the French winger earlier in the week when they revealed that they would back the player if he chose to force an exit from the Allianz Arena.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who had already slammed such a proposal, has now threatened to take FIFPro to court in the event that Ribery decides to follow up on the advice.
“By releasing an official notice, FIFPro are inviting players to break their contracts, and this is simply madness,” he told TZ.
“What football needs now is stability and not players breaking their commitments. We will examine our legal possibilities and we will ask, if the time comes, for indemnification.
“Everything has a limit and with the stance FIFPro has taken, they have gone overboard.
“I know clearly what needs to be done. As the president of the European Club Association, I must say that FIFPro have exceeded their limits. We will give our response as these are things that we do not like.”
Rummenigge then went on to shield Ribery from the hoopla as he assured that the 26-year-old had not been causing any problems for the club, contrary to some reports.
“I must make one thing very clear. Franck is currently injured. He is not faking the injury nor is he a problematic player,” he clarified.
“We are against this [FIFPro] opinion, which is something that does not correspond to Ribery’s character. He is behaving in the correct manner. The fact that he is worried about the offer from Real Madrid is perfectly normal.
“The same thing happened with Franz Beckenbauer in 1966 when he received an offer from Inter. But we are calm, since we know that Ribery will remain with us. He is not forcing a departure.”

All biases aside, I think this guy is an idiot.
As I tell everyone, football is an anomaly, if I work at a company on a salary that is a contract. If I get fired by my employer I have to leave and go elsewhere. If I resign I give notice and then leave. Why should football be any different?
People will argue that it would start players leaving clubs at any minute and there would be no stability and I disagree. If I present my CV to a company and on it it has that I change jobs three times in three months you think they gine want me? Same thing. If CR9 for example left Man U this year, Real for Barca next, then Barca for Chelsea the year after, you feel that someone gine trust him in their team? Especially if they got to pay him big dollars?
This is akin to slavery. They can sell you but you can't quit, bullshit! _________________

Barcelona Sign Ibrahimovic From Inter For €40m Plus Eto’o - Spanish Press
Barcelona have reportedly concluded the transfer of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Inter.
According to Sport, Joan Laporta, Txiki Begiristain and Raul Sanllehi met with Massimo Moratti late on Thursday and an agreement was reached around midnight.
The transfer will see the Blaugrana part with €40 million plus Samuel Eto’o and Aliaksandr Hleb, with the Belarussian joining the Nerazzurri on a loan spell.
The Barcelona-based daily believes that Inter had initially informed the Blaugrana that Ibrahimovic was keen on moving to the Camp Nou, at which point the Catalan club contacted Eto’o, who immediately gave the part-exchange deal the green light.
And when Barca’s own negotiations with Valencia for David Villa all but collapsed, Laporta promptly contacted Moratti to arrange an emergency meeting last night upon receiving a request from the head coach, Pep Guardiola, to conclude the deal as soon as possible.
It is also speculated that ‘Ibracadabra’ will take a pay-cut in order to play for ‘El Tricampeon’ – and also ensure that he does not eclipse Lionel Messi – while Eto’o has allegedly demanded €13m from the San Siro outfit for a period of five years, or €65 million in total.

You're not the only one...I think Barca is more paying money to get rid of Eto'o than anything else. Which means they must really hate his attitude, because he does nothing but score goals. _________________

Why the men doan rate Zlatan? I think the man is phenomenally gifted, and has tremendous on the ball skill for a man his height. When it comes to tall men with skill, him and John Carew are two of the most talented men in the game. _________________

Eto'o is a proven big game player, Zlatan not so much. People might blame his supporting cast at Inter, but other players have carried less abled teams to glory.
Eto'o never "carried" Barcelona, he was a disruptive personality (at the centre of the debacle the season before last with Ronaldinho) and he can even go missing in the middle of the season BUT (1) when he gets the ball he scores, and (2) when it counts the most, Eto'o scores - against Real in the Clasico, against Arsenal or Man U in the Champions League final. There are a few elite strikers in the game, Raul, Del Piero, Ronaldo (BRA), guys who ALWAYS score when their teams needs it most, and Eto'o is one of them. He did it for Mallorca and he has done it for Barca. He doesn't need to prove anything to anybody.
Zlatan, on the other hand, considering how talented he is, has a lot to prove. _________________

Del Piero on the deal:
| Quote: |
The Bianconeri hitman was indifferent on the Samuel Eto'o - Zlatan Ibrahimovic swap plus cash deal.
"Inter will lose something in Serie A, but they have acquired something else in the Champions League. I cannot say if they are weaker now," added the captain. |

This is a shite deal for both teams but more so Barca.
Zlatan's worth is in his creative ability playing up front. Now tell me...in a team with Messi, Iniesta, Dani Alves, Henry etc where he gine get the space to show that skill? That is why Eto'o excelled, he got the ball and took shots. Now Zlatan might be able to do that too, but then what more does he add to the team than Eto'o? Nothing, but yet Barca pay out all that money. Furthermore Barca was the complete team, now they gone and add a big "X" factor. As a Madrid fan I can't say I ain't happy.
Eto'o now gone to a team without any real creativity. No real suppliers in Inter so how does he get his goals? He ain't got no dribbles, he can run pass men though BUT this is Italy not Spain, he WILL get lick trying to run past men and the referee will tell him get up. Plus Eto'o and Messi were the two men that scared me in the Classicos...down to one man now boy.
Barca takes the "L" _________________
